Jaime Munguia (32-0, 26 KOs) vs. Dennis Hogan (28-1-1, 7KOs)

Tijuana’s darling and WBC super welterweight titlist Jaime Munguia is the favorite against tough Irishman Dennis Hogan but we believe it should last all 12 rounds. Whenever you put a Mexican against an Irishman expect brutality on a mass scale. Hogan has never been knocked out and even the hard-hitting Munguia may not be able to accomplish the feat. Hogan, 34, who lives and fights out of Australia, has never faced upper tier fighters before. This is Hogan’s first shot at the “big time” and expect his best. Munguia has both elite power and chin. So far he’s been able to take everyone’s punch. Yet the lack of defense by the Mexican fighter will allow for some entertaining moments. UPPERCUT predicts Munguia should prevail easily by unanimous decision in this bout that will take place in Monterrey, Mexico on April 13.
