Regis Prograis (24-0, 20 KOs) vs. Josh Taylor (15-0, 12 KOs)

Prograis and Taylor are indisputably two of the top three fighters at 140 pounds and both have mean streaks in the ring a mile long. This fight will unify the WBA “super” and IBF titles, meaning the winner will just be a fight with Jose Ramirez away from having a fully unified division. In the World Boxing Super Series, Prograis saw a seven-fight knockout streak come to an end in his quarterfinal victory over former champion Terry Flanagan, but returned to his finishing ways with a shellacking of the iron-tough Kiryl Relikh in April. Taylor, meanwhile, dominated Ryan Martin last November before fending off the game to Ivan Baranchyk six months later. If it goes through, it will be the first of the three finals to go down. UPPERCUT predicts Prograis pulls off the win in boring fashion, but ultimately takes the win.
