A hero to the Latino community and boxing world alike, UPPERCUT has been the source for west coast boxing that provides unique perspectives and insights, unlocking the sweet science that lives on within the boxing culture.

 

In 1994, Jesus Jimenez introduced UPPERCUT as the top-of-the-line boxing magazine in bilingual format in the Los Angeles area. Later the glossy informative and easy-to-read publication grew to attract actors, ball players, and both HBO and Showtime boxing channel executives. Over the past 25 years, fans across genres have read UPPERCUT – from Master P (Promoter), Johnny Tapia (Ex Champ), Floyd Mayweather (Boxer), and Magic Johnson to Sugar Ray Leonard, Roy Jones Jr. (HBO) Sylvester Stallone, Mark Burnett (The Contender), Marc Rather (VP of Regulatory Affairs Ultimate fighting), Oscar De la Hoya (Golden Boy), Bernardo Osuna (ESPN), the late great Muhammad Ali and both the World Boxing Council (WBC) and World Boxing Association (WBA). Today, UPPERCUT remains the core tool pushing the creative boundaries of boxing.

 

To celebrate its 25th anniversary, Fiesta Publication is releasing a highly-collectible Magazine iterations of the beloved UPPERCUTthat includes a new section of Tale of the Tape with each feature, Match Maker, and pull out poster on the cover feature; the Limited Edition 25th Anniversary issues, in short, has it all. “The Newly revamped UPPERCUT is the boxing engine that pushes boxing and boxers forward into uncharted territory,” said Veronica Guevara, Associate Publisher and SVP, Fiesta Publications. “It found a niche on the creative cutting edge and maintains significant popularity today as we celebrate its 25th anniversary.”

 

The original UPPERCUT boasted a revolutionary offset printing with articles about boxers and the fights. Later-UPPERCUT transitioned into boxing analysis of the fights, and now its revamped editorial/web content circuit is the first bilingual format sport magazine reaching the huge Latino population on both sides of our borders. Paying homage to the original prototype of this groundbreaking publication, the 25th Anniversary version accurately recreates the bold and distinctive look and feel, giving boxing fans a taste of UPPERCUT in its purest form. The Limited Edition is offered in 5-Color with the throwback article in black and white about “Muhammad Ali, The Greatest Ever.”

 

UPPERCUT was designed especially for the upwardly mobile men’s market but is now modified for women readers as well, who want to know everything about the boxing galaxy and how to gain insight and stay up to date in the fast-paced boxing world.UPPERCUT will remain a quarterly glossy boxing guide, in print, but also be published in other digital platforms, as well as with an interactive APP. We publish a magazine, website, and digital content in an effort to encourage the fans to cruise the pages of our publication and visit our sections, places, and services.

 

UPPERCUT has expanded to cover all fights in the United States and will increase distribution going forward.
