Recent news surfaced on the status of Dillian Whyte since reports mentioned that he failed a drug test taken right before his bout with Oscar Rivas. Yet, WBC president Mauricio Sulaiman wants to make it clear about how they’re handling the situation. Sulaiman confirms that his sanctioning body had no knowledge of any adverse findings in Whyte’s drug testing leading into the fight, and goes on to mention that they haven’t actually suspended Dillian Whyte himself, but rather the interim title and mandatory challenger position until this all gets sorted out. He said, “At this moment I want to clarify that the WBC did not suspend Dillian Whyte.”
