Terrence Crawford will be the man of the hour when he defends his welterweight title against Amir Khan on April 20. A lot has to do with Crawford’s impeccable boxing resume. Crawford owns one of boxing’s most remarkable resumes to date. His boxing skills have catapulted him to the top. He is currently either No. 1 or 2 on most pound-for-pound lists while Khan is primary been inactive, fighting only four times during the past four-plus years. Khan is quick and a good boxer but is known to have a weak chin so that is a hindrance in this fight. Crawford is quick, skillful, powerful and durable and looks to be too much for Khan. Win or lose, Khan (33-4, 20 knockouts) has always been fun to watch. That’s a product of both his ability – including his remarkably fast hands – and his willingness to exchange punches in spite of his inability to take them. UPPERCUT predicts Crawford ends Khan’s career and beats him up bad with a knockout in the 10 th round. Crawford will move on to fight one of the other titleholders – Mikey Garcia, Errol Spence, Keith Thurman or Shawn Porter.
